About Premium Electrical Calculators

"Premium Electrical Calculators exists to give electrical professionals fast, accurate, and code-compliant tools they can trust on the job — built by someone who actually uses them."

Who Built This

Premium Electrical Calculators was designed and built by Benjamin Johnson, a commercial and industrial electrician based in Arkansas with six years of hands-on experience in the trade. Benjamin passed his Arkansas Journeyman Electrician licensing exam at 21 years old — two days before his 22nd birthday — making him one of the younger licensed journeymen in the state at the time.

Why It Was Built

Anyone who has spent time in the field knows the frustration of needing a quick, reliable calculation and coming up empty. The existing options are either buried behind a paywall, cluttered with ads and poor design, or — worst of all — built by people who have never actually picked up a pair of lineman's pliers. The math might technically be there, but the tool doesn't think the way an electrician thinks.

Premium Electrical Calculators was built to fix that. Every calculator on this site was designed from the ground up by someone who works in commercial and industrial electrical every day — someone who knows what information you actually need, how fast you need it, and how it needs to be presented to be useful in the field.

Who It's For

This site is built for tradesmen. Whether you're a journeyman running conduit on a job site, an apprentice double-checking your work, or a foreman doing takeoffs in the office, these tools are designed to give you fast, accurate, NEC-compliant answers without the hassle. No subscription. No download. No account. Just open it and use it.

What It Offers

Premium Electrical Calculators currently offers six professional-grade calculators covering voltage drop, conduit fill, ampacity, box fill, transformer sizing, and motor full load amperage — all built to NEC 2023 standards. Each calculator references the specific NEC table or article it pulls from, so you always know where the numbers are coming from. More tools are planned for future updates.

A Note on Accuracy

Every calculation on this site has been carefully verified against the National Electrical Code. That said, these tools are intended as a reference aid — not a replacement for professional judgment. Always verify results against the current adopted edition of the NEC in your jurisdiction, and never use any calculator as the sole basis for an installation decision. If you believe you've found an error, please reach out at contact@premiumelectricalcalculators.com. Accuracy matters, and we take it seriously.
